While the advisors are not formal psychiatrists or therapists, they can offer assistance, referrals, and resources to help students address their needs effectively.

Student Committees and Organizations

Brooks School Ambassadors:

The Brooks School Ambassadors is a group of undergraduate students within the Brooks School who support the Office of Admissions, Student Services, and Career Management in various ways. Their responsibilities include assisting with new student recruitment and orientation, providing feedback on undergraduate initiatives, participating in group conferences with prospective students to offer insights from a student’s perspective, aiding in on-campus programs for high school and potential transfer students, engaging with prospective students, and assisting with letter writing. In addition, ambassadors attend regular meetings and serve as coordinators for activities.

For more information on Brooks School Ambassadors, please get in touch with [email protected].

Sloan Student Association:

The Sloan Student Association (SSA) plays a crucial role in connecting students with faculty, administration, and alumni through social and educational activities. The SSA’s primary functions include facilitating community involvement, offering professional development opportunities, and working towards national recognition of the Sloan program.

Off-campus, the SSA also provides volunteer opportunities for students to contribute to Ithaca and the local healthcare community. SSA officers regularly meet with program administration, participate in Sloan Alumni Association board meetings, lead the Sloan American College of Healthcare Executives student chapter, contribute to planning the colloquia series, and advocate for the program and its students.

The Sloan Student Association membership is open to students interested in health care and related fields. For more information, including details about the SSA Officers, please visit the Brooks School website.
